Hi! I'm Homer.

I'm a buff tabby male. I'm about 12 years old.

I was an outdoor cat until I came to the shelter.

Now I have the run of the backroom at the shelter.

I like to help the volunteers with their paperwork.

I would be an excellent assistant in the workplace.

I am very friendly even though I have a grouchy growl.

I know that I look a little rough around the edges but I am a sweet guy.

Living on the streets isn't easy. I am FIV positive. 

Feline immunodeficiency virus (FIV) attacks the immune system, leaving me vulnerable to other infections.  I can be adopted as an only cat, with another FIV positive cat or with dogs. The virus is typically spread through bite wounds. Casual, non-aggressive contact does not appear to be an efficient route of spreading the virus. The virus cannot be spread to dogs or humans as it only affects cats.

Shelter hours are Tuesdays 5:30-7:30 pm and Saturdays 10:00 am-2:00 pm. Closed Holidays.
